May 19 2007 - Wichita is the CEO of Hi-Tech Oil Blends an international supplier of lubricants and additives. He holds a chief engineer’s license for merchant ships of any size and for unlimited horsepower issued by the United States Coast Guard. His last assignment at sea was for the United States Navy as engineering officer aboard the USS Whitehurst. It was from this background he developed high performance lubricants and additives he now exports around the world.

Wichita Wins Exporter Of The Year Award
For the last 20 years, A.J. Wichita, CEO of Hi-Tech Oil Blends Inc., has been producing lubricants, additives and sealers under the Nitro-9 Lubricants brand and now has won the SBA's Exporter of the Year Award.

Mr. Wichita's fuel additives, tire sealants and other products have appeared on the Formula 1 racing circuit, the Lunar Lander and in more than 25 countries around the world. The need for private branding in overseas markets led to the creation of Hi-Tech Oil Blends, which provides for the purchasing, packaging and distribution of Nitro9 Lubricants.

"Our main products are additives that help control emissions in low-grade fuels for countries that are trying to control smog levels," Wichita said. " We've done this very successfully for some time and continue to grow and expand our product line.

Secretary of Commerce appoints A.J. Wichita for the third time
March 28 2008 - Mr. Dan Swart, from the Department of Commerce presented to A.J. Wichita a certificate of appointment as a member of the North Texas District Export Council. "Mr. Wichita's appointment comes at a time when the Commerce Department is placing increased emphasis on a nationwide network of experienced exporters to help increase U.S. exports, thereby advancing the Presidents national export objectives," said Mr. Evans.

For the past 20 years Mr. Wichita' s company has marketed environmentally friendly petroleum additives and tire sealants to more than 25 countries around the world, including India, China, Eastern Europe, Africa, and Southeast Asia."

Mr. Wichita is expected to provide a key link between the public and the private sector trade development groups," said Mr. Evans "as well as an understanding of foreign markets that will aide U.S. businesses eager to expand into foreign markets." Because of these efforts and past successes, Mr. Wichita was presented an “Export Achievement Certificate” by Secretary Evans at a ceremony in Dallas.
